Worth It Wednesday: EIO Kids Cup Review & Giveaway

It is recommended that at approximately six to seven months of age a sippy cup be introduced. Your baby likely won't be drinking much from the cup at this time, but this introduction will help familiarize  and assist her in the later full transition to the cup. She will learn how to grasp and handle the cup bringing it towards her mouth which further improves hand-eye coordination and will eventually learn that fluids come from it.

The EIO Kids Cup is a great option for an introductory cup for several reasons. Most sippy cups have valves that can grow bacteria, become lost, and add another thing to sanitize. The EIO Kids Cup is valve free and spout free, having just a simple lid for your child to drink from and learn proper sipping and swallowing. Another benefit of the EIO cup that sets it apart from most other sippy cups is that it's body is made entirely of durable glass. This means that any juice/milk/water you place in the cup is not sitting in plastic which reduces any toxin exposure. Glass is also extremely easy to clean and sterilize thereby keeping baby healthy. The cap securely screws onto the glass body and is free of BPA, PVC, and Phthalates. It also has a small smiley face on the lid that shows your child the correct direction to hold the cup. An additional advantage of the EIO cup is that it has a silicone sleeve that fits snugly around the glass so when your little one drops the cup, it shouldn't break or shatter (it also helps your baby get a better grip around the cup). The EIO Kids Cup is an excellent choice for a cup that will grow along with your child. Baby will first learn to hold and grasp the cup, then drink properly by sipping from the lid, and finally she can remove the lid and drink directly from the cup.
